| There are three major international airports within easy driving
distance of all of Palm Beach County. Palm Beach International (PBI) - PBI is the smallest of the three and is served by all of the major US airlines. PBI is located within the city of West Palm Beach. To fly to PBI from the UK usually will involve changing planes somewhere with the USA, although total trip time is longer PBI is hardly ever congested and is thus a more relaxing airport to arrive and depart. Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International (FLL) - FLL is larger than PBI and has more international flights. The airport is located in the city of Hollywood just outside of Fort Lauderdale. There are no direct flights from FLL to the UK. FLL is 48 miles south of PBI Miami International (MIA) - MIA is the largest of the three regional airports. The airport is located just outside of Miami and is 69 miles south of PBI. The airport acts as a gateway/hub to South America. There are a number of airlines that fly directly between the UK and Miami. |
